Raffiche di vento fino a 60 nodi e onde di oltre 5 metri. Porto chiuso per il vento e aeroporto chiuso per...pesci sulla pista! Certo gli stabilimenti balneari contano i danni e i passeggeri del traghetto Fantastic se la sono vista brutta , però la libecciata di stamattina was a true spectacle of nature.

Autumn Gifts

happens that Liguria in Autumn will be able to give as warm weather in early summer. So off the wax, the cells and shoes you can enjoy the warmth of the sun and the sea \u200b\u200bsmooth as oil bath invites you to last season. And that's just the shorter days to remind you that summer is long over and the next exit you will probably be wrapped up to protect the eyes from wind and splash cold.
But this weekend the cold weather seemed very far away. The wind was slightly (but one can not have everything!) And sailed from Genoa, Finale Ligure (and back) we went to sail and not three hours.
But the boat is beautiful in all conditions. If it is windy it can get quite sport and sometimes a bit 'busy, and if the wind is not there, you will plunge you in your little world of sun, sea, scenery and relaxation. Maybe a good book, but always with an eye on the horizon. And if you are lucky you can also exciting encounters.

On the way back, about 5 miles off Varazze this Sunday we saw a group of bottlenose dolphins .
Get rid of the lines, first of all, though I imagine that dolphins are smart enough not to be fooled by plastic bait (which, among other things, did not miss a bait fish) off the engine and down to take the cameras.
Putruppo, including backlight and some weird setting in my Canon (which I did not bother to check, so I did not want to lose sight of these wonderful people of the sea) wonderful pictures did not come, but here they are.

Bottlenose dolphins I had seen them from afar going to Corsica, but we meet in Liguria especially the smallest dolphins. Dolphins so large (about 2.5 meters) I had never seen up close.
A couple have even swam a bit 'under the boat. Less
of playful dolphins, they were probably engaged in some activities more useful to be photographed :-)
we followed them for a while '(and they have been followed), then everyone has resumed its journey. Ours, with a little 'to regret, to the house.

Here's my pesto-fantasy involved in the collection -contest Fiordisale .
I doubt if I win, especially since this is an emergency- pesto, prepared on Sunday after two days in a boat and an emergency food. But I wanted to participate (they are coming out a lot of interesting recipes), and then this pesto is really good. I'll make often, with some variations depending on what I have at home. What was so
Sunday:

dried tomato pesto, almonds and ricotta hard

a handful of dried tomatoes in oil 1 tablespoon drained

almonds 1 teaspoon capers dissalati
poco sale
2 cucchiai di ricotta dura di pecora
olio extravergine
mezzo spicchio d'aglio

Il procedimento è superfluo, ma questo pesto no. Ottimo anche come tartina da aperitivo, magari mentre aspettate che cuocia la pasta!
